Rubbish.
He should be sacked after tonight but there is no question that he won’t.
Leaving Stokes on the bench and Watt out of the squad so he can fit Mulgrew in is caveman stuff. He is a dreadful manager, bring back Mowbray!
Every man and his dog on the street knows that moving Samaras from the wing to up front as well as Mulgrew out wide is detrimental.
Lennon knows this but he is just a horrible individual, every so petty and spiteful with no sense of loyalty.
Absolutely embarrassing. Get this charlatan to fuck.
Stokes should be handing in his transfer request tomorrow as Lennon is destroying his career.
What was Mouyokolo at for the second goal? A shocking result. We should have brought on a forward after around 55 minutes, be it Stokes or Balde. A terrible night for Lennon. I really dislike James Forrest as a footballer.
We should have started one, never mind bringing one on. This result is solely down to a manager who pisses his pants in any game of significant importance - the same guy who pulls apart a successful team and in-form side so he can shut up shop against sides with resources and budgets about 5% of his own.
He’s a cunt, pure and simple.
Score?

We lacked composure at the back (Wilson), strength in midfield (Wanyama) and a finisher upfront (Hooper).
Forster infuriates me. A big, timid fanny - embarrassing from him tonight.

It is detrimental, but nobody can defend that lack of effort from Samaras tonight. He was constantly offside on crosses, he rolled off the pitch with the ball loose in the box because someone stood on his toe and he competed for nothing. I love the man but that was inexcusable.
Other supposed big game players like Brown and Ledley were poor, particularly Ledley, but not as bad as Samaras. We look to have uncovered another Loovens in Mouyokolo, Forrest was predictably anonymous, Forster afraid of his shadow, Virgil generally decent but too many errors, Commons probably our best player. Nobody else made any sort of an effort apart from maybe the full backs.
2-0 to Shakhtar Kazakhstan, Mac

I think we lacked a manager who is capable of making correct and obvious decisions. We were atrocious in Sweden as well and we delivered a similar performance tonight against a side not much better but who played with a bit more gumption and fully deserved their win. Playing defenders in midfield and no striker is embarrassing - especially when you have two fit strikers on the bench and another one not even in the squad.
Having a guy in the team for the sole reason that he can take a few decent corners and frees is Sunday League level management. Lennon and his backroom team should all be given their jotters.
I despise the following Celtic players:
Forster
Forrest
Mouyokolo (if he plays like that again)
Get the first two to fuck. Cowards.

We’ve seen that before from Samaras, predominantly under Mowbray and Strachan but there’s a denominator there and it’s in the way he is deployed. He has never impressed me as a striker, he seems disinterested, he doesn’t get enough of the ball and it doesn’t utilise his best abilities. It’s bad enough that our best striker has to sit on the bench, but it’s even worse that our best player is rendered useless because a manager wants to fit another player in, it’s a double whammy on the team - which makes it even more unforgiving.
Quite simply, Lennon is not cut out to manage at a high level like the Champions League, he doesn’t seem to possess any sense of tactical acumen. Like British managers, he seems to love offering little soundbites and talking shit as to let on he is an intelligent football man. His tactics and teams selections show him to be a stubborn dinosaur who refuses or doesn’t know how to counteract what is front of his face.
We will probably hear this cunt read the riot act now and how he won’t accept such performances from his players. He should acknowledge that it’s all his fault and then show a little bit of dignity (for once) and resign.

Firstly there is no excuse for that lack of effort from Samaras today. None. If he was playing in goals I’d expect him to make a better effort than he put in. I don’t think he should have been playing up front but he can’t hide behind that to justify his complete indifference to the importance of this game.
Secondly, Lennon’s best results and performances have been at CL level. The Barcelona and Spartak matches in particular last year, as well as those in qualifying, suggested the exact opposite of your theory is true. I don’t think he’s infallible, far from it, and we were really poor tonight and some or most of that is Lennon’s fault. But you’re rewriting history there by lumping him in with British managers.
I’ve tweeted the goalkeeping coach to ask him why Forster is too cowardly to come off his line and I’ve tweeted Sammy’s agent to lodge my disgust at his “effort” earlier. I can’t do any more than that.
PSV-Milan should be good later.
The Little Pharaoh has given Milan the lead. The approach of Allegri is night and day compared to that of Lennon, he has picked his strongest side and a very attacking line-up in an away game against an inferior side.
Lennon has a small minded mental state that is not suited to a big club like Celtic.

We’ve rode our luck in pretty much any ‘successful’ game involving Lennon. He’s living off the home result against Barcelona. We should have been tanked in Lisbon last season, we rode our luck against Spartak and on the balance of play we were the lesser team. We were really poor against both Spartak and Benfica at home - although admittedly missing a few players against Benfica. We were dirt away to Helsinborgs last season and should have lost, we were dirt at home to Helsinki last season and just managed to get the result. We were dirt against Elfsborg in the away leg and we were dirt tonight.
He’s not got mentality to succeed at this level. Get him and his turgid football out of Celtic. Lets get a brave and fair manager in, rather than this cowardly and disloyal spoofer.
Why is this new PSV wonderkid not playing tonight? Injured?
The Belgian guy? Got injured in the friendly international last week.
Maher has been very impressive.
