I think that’s a penalty based on the way the law/interpretation is now but it’s not a handball in the spirit of the game so to type. Generally though, this has been a very suspect refereeing performance. Tuchel often goes spare but he has good reason here. One team are being consistently penalised for incidental/light challenges & the other are getting away with replica “offences”.

As @Cheasty was saying last night, this has been a very forgettable Champions League. No comparison to the blood and thunder of the 2018 Quarter-Finals for instance.

As you also alluded to here before, top level professional football has become very predictable and stale. A monopoly compared to 20 years ago even. I’d say there was great intrigue surrounding European competitions in the 1970’s/80’s and 90’s.

All that remains to be seen from this competition is whether Stoke 2017/18 will have a semi-finalist. Surely one of the Milan clubs will have some straggler who bestrode the wind tunnel like a colossus.
