Liverpool have lost to an awful lot worse than Porto this year mate, an awful lot worse. They beat French champions Monaco (currently second) & current second team in Germany RB Leipzig to get here. Porto are probably just outside top 4 EPL standard, ahead of the likes of Spurs and Arsenal.
