Silva & Sterling is all.
Liverpool putting in some effort, they’ll gas early in second half.
Stonesy has 3 UCL goals this season, get him on.
Aguero is a huge loss out injured.
Tie is by no means over yet though Liverpool have been unreal.
Smart foul
No Sergio, No Party.
Firmino loose there
A natural winger would be the obvious but Liverpool can sit a little deeper now and negate it… The big worry is Liverpool have nothing on the bench and will gas big time.
Danny Ings pal.
Liverpool have been class but it’s mad how shit Manchester City have been. They’ve a few suspect defenders but it’s usually masked by a combination of their domination of the ball and their manic pressing to get it back before their defence can be exposed. Tonight their passing has been brutal - no zip to it, lads getting caught in possession all over the place, heavy touches etc - and there’s been a complete absence of their usual pressing game. Liverpool are pouring through them to get at their back four.
Pool have done an excellent job of doubling up on Sane & KDB anytime they get possession.
If Liverpool sit deep back deep, it’ll end badly. Should keep attacking this defence.
Klopp did same in 4-3. Concedes possession and then sets traps for his pressing to win ball high up pitch.
When looking at the line-ups I honestly thought that’s what City would do to Liverpool and it started that way…they’ve just collapsed.
Ref has done very well
They look frozen with fear.
cc @rubby men.
Agreed but they don’t need to pile forward stupidly…they need to remain calm
Correct. They generally don’t have to defend very often. When they’re called upon to do so, they’re not very good at it. Having a manager doesn’t believe in tackling doesn’t help.
Guardiola is an over thinker in these big CL games and it generally goes against him. I’ve been saying all season they’ll get destroyed in the Champions League
Hit them on the counter bravely, with Salah up front there’s another goal in this for Liverpool.
Otamendi has been found out big time and Kompany isnt the same player that he was.
