Couldn’t be bothered reading back but to summarise why don’t you like Oscar Whiskey tomorrow?[/quote]
See preview .
FFS just click on preview on home page. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.
You never gave us your own fancies for tomorrows races, matey.
Just to be clear, i won’t be reading back.
Still studying the form and weighing up the fact the ground is firmer than I thought it would be.
Someone bump the seething thread for Dunph there.
It should suit the horses with firmer hooves.
Keep that cork temper in check… a lot of frayed nerves about here…
1.30 - Solix 16s
2.05 - no bet yet
2.40 - Rubi Light 6s
3.20 - No bet yet, also like Dynaste ew w/o
4.00 - Diver 14s
4.40 - Sunnyhillboy 12s
Dunph, I’m finished by studying now and I’m opposing my learned friend Fenway.
Get onboard Oscar Whisky pal.
Will he stay?
No, he’ll probably head home after the race.
Edit: Now leave me alone - let’s not get this thread sidetracked from proper horse racing chat.
Ante Post tomorrow I have Champion Court @ 12’s and Oscar Whisky at 10’s. I’m torn on the first as I can see Peddlers bolting up and would never have backed CC if I though Peddlers would go here. Imperial Shabra could be a danger too.
Thehillofuisneach catches my eye on the Pertemps. A bit of a lotto of a race though, would be happy to take a punt on any of the Pipe or McCain runners either.
In the Ryanair I’d be happy to side with Blazing Tempo. I like Rubi Light a lot but am worried about the serious drift. I think he’d prefer to get his toe in a bit but given that they’re running on the other track tomorrow which has been well watered it may be slightly slower than what they ran on today. Noble Prince gets his ideal distance but having his first run over it this season tomorrow is hardly ideal. Nolans theory was that 2m in boggy ground would equate to the Ryanair distance on Good / Good to Soft. He obviously knows more than me but I’d see it as a risky strategy. Forpady will run his heart out his well on a track and on ground he loves. (need to stop siding with Irish horses!)
I like so many horses in the race. Already on OW as mentioned above. So Young has to be looked at based on how last years novices are turning out. Thousand Stars finally gets a run over what many people feel is a better distance for him. Colm Murphy rarely runs a horse at the festival without getting into the money so his mare deserves respect. In all honesty though, they should all be battling for place money.
Mentioned fingeronthepulse earlier and have had a small few quid on him at 40/1. Also like Divers & Holmwood Legend.
I find the former Rebecca Curtis trained Adams Island an interesting entry. Was 4th in the Thyestes and is now with Paul Nolan. Barry O’Neill takes the ride. Need to read up on him a bit more. Swing Bill another I like.
Will post final selections when money goes down in the morning.
Thehillofuisneach was at the top of my list for pertemps, catch me has to be a plot?
Thursday is my least favourite day of the four, none the less sifting through the big handicaps makes it more interesting as there will be a bit good e/w value about. My week is going pretty average so far, Simonsig was my big winner today and I got place money from Veiled and Harry the Viking.
1.30 Sir Des Champs. Think he’ll get the better of Peddlers who I have been put off by the mixed reports. His form looks good after the first two days with Four Commanders and White Star Line running well.
2.05 Sir Kezbaah e/w. A progressive sort, will appreciate the dryer ground and is a course and distance winner.
2.40 Somersby e/w for me here. Good consistent horse, 6/1 will give me the e/w bet and he has the ability to beat any of these. Had a good standard of horse chasing him up around Ascot, only issue is the Cheltenham hill.
3.20 Mourad e/w. He’ll keep galloping away anyway and could easily be placed. 25/1 or more deserves a small few quid.
4.00 Niceonefrankie e/w. A tough race to pick through, this lad hasn’t had a test like this yet but he’ll appreciate the ground and is nicely in the weights here. At around 10/1 or more I may have a nibble.
4.40 Becauseicouldntsee e/w. Coming back into some of his old form, good pilot on board, will stay. Doubt i’ll get too involved though.
Somersby will power up the hill, his issue at che has been the downhill trip to the 2nd last, he doesnt travel down to it and ends up with 6 or 7 L to find…he’ll be travelling fastest at the finish
Fingeronthepulse is the plot horse
