Nice to see someone from S&C breaking thru where real coach education actually happens.
Well spoken and highly qualified individual who rattles a lot of cages
@caoimhaoin is the only one here who really understands football
I know little about O’Neil but I’d trust Kev’s judgement
You’re doing what you do best.
Didn’t you come out and criticise him recently
I said it did not look good for him with 7/7 losses
Who would it?
Mind you I think 4 of them were less than 2 points
They have made up for that now.
One more win and it’s a significant season
Serious character considering the league relegation and losing to Carlow
Is it normal for a lad from an S&C background to be obese?
He is not obese.
But quire a few of the leading guys are yes. Power lifters, Olympic lifters, American football guys etc.
It does not mean he or anyone cannot have are great brain of course
Mac can’t see beyond his own nose.
Fair play @caoimhaoin so many haterz and trollz on here who wouldnt know a coach if Joe Brolly didnt tell em. You knew
Another impressive win for Cian and his charges last night.
+1 to all that
kev did u read Tomas o’se’s piece maybe the week after the carlow defeat where he had a right cut off CON say that when he was coach to Kerry he would spend about 10 minutes explaining a drill, this used to drive o’se mad and he used to just amble off soloing around waiting until he stopped talking, his point was that he felt o’neill was just a spoofer and a coach but someone who could never manage… i have a feeling this may come back to haunt him
I would love it if CON turned them over
I read it ya. There is a chance a guy like a sport scientist can be over instructional, but he will have learned about that too.
There is undoubtedly a campaign in Kerry to undermine him as some feel he got too much credit in 14.
He has hurling and football AI’s to his name and was and huge initial influence on Mayo. This is not by accident. Managing and coaching are different though and that takes time.
It looked poor at times, but in hindsight this year they were very close to survival in div 1.
But ultimately any coach is only as good as the players he has. And Kildare have genuinely decent players
