It’d suit the County Board to get Lohan ratified as manager, ok he won a fitgibbon with UL with a star studded team. He had a star studded team at the time, he also managed UL to a loss against Carlow where they could barely score and he saw fit to leave one of the leading forwards in the country at centre back. Give the job to Lohan for 2 yrs and they’ll be welcoming Davy back with open arms after that.
Pat is busy frantically trying to put together a team of Davy’s acolytes in order to try and keep Lohan out of the management gig.
Davy even willing to lend Saoirse Bulfin to the cause to keep big bad Brian out of the gig as there is no love lost.

Big Bad Davy’s fault that the Clare hurlers are shit. The only year they came close to redemption after ‘13 was ‘18 and they reverted to using a tactic Davy introduced to them. I thought Donal and Gerry were going to march this golden generation back to the promised land.

Didn’t Bugler and Davy fall out in recent years no? Where he was critical of the set up after the All Ireland win in 2013. So he wouldn’t exactly be endeared to Pat? Also is Bugler not a teacher up around Laois or kildare?
No, Bugler was one of the favourites. Think he had a pop off Moloney/O’Connor after he called it a day in 2017 due to lack of game time.
He is teaching in flannans for the last 3 or 4 years
