Sorry, haven’t had the chance to come back to this till now. One sided hysteria? The only hysteria I see is from those denying the science, based on their own makey uppey bullshit. The viewpoints being shouted down are those who see the science and emperical data warning us of major structural change to society as a result of human induced climate change. There’s not much hope for us to influence future carbon emissions from the developed world if we can’t even admit what we’re doing in western society.
The hysteria was a few years ago fitzy and they embedded it in the minds of people. A lot of it is accepted as fact now, much of it is not.
Surprised this thread hasn’t been bumped given all the attention this has gotten the last few days. We’re all fucked.

If you are running a project/report involving that many people and costing a significant amount of money you are obligated to come with a few good headlines. They were hardly going to come back with “agh it’s grand”. They give some wishy washy info about what “might” happen in a hundred years time when they are all going to be dead.
