Club Championships 2009

this sunday

A Drom/Inch & Na Piarsaig double interests me.

add Clonlara at 13/8 to beat newmarket…we won’t be beaten by them windy cunts:guns:

Attaboy puke, timber those newmarket cunts.

Mon Clon ta fuck

feale rangers should beat dr. crokes?..the two kennellys, galvin, fitzmaurice against the gooch and brosnan…

Feale should do it, Noel K is in fine form, and Maher is stormin it at midfield with Eamon Fitz. Usually the prob for area teams in Kerry is lack of games, but they’ll be up for this. Tadghie for captain next year.

These combination teams in Kerry are a bit of a farce aren’t they?

Yes.

What’s the thinking behind them?
a town like Listowel should surely be able to be competitive in their own right?

they make shit of the kerry championship

Whats your view on Sunday’s match Noddy?
Ive a feeling Drom will finally beat Sars when it matters. Callinan is in some form at the min and Lar isnt really interested for the Sars.

Seems to work for them would you not agree?

Emmets were senior for years, but got relegated a few years back. Lost IFC semi this year, Scanlon lorded it over them I think. Tadgh was injured in that game.

Thinking behind them is that it gives exposure to players from smaller clubs, likes of Dec O Sullivan, Darran O S, etc etc.

Suppose. I just think it devalues the club championship somewhat. There is some other competition the clubs take very seriously, could be the Kerry league?

They have a Club Cship down there also, every Club in the COunty enters into it.

After that they take their regionals very very seriously.

Last week say South Kerry play Jack O Connors boys club, they won the All Ireland IF last year, St Brendans Foilmore I think they are called. They would have played with Sth Kerry for past few years, won the IFC last year, so they were able to enter the SFC on their own steam this year. They ran Sth Kerry fairly close too, only for Bryan Sheehans frees they had them.

It does but its still a strange way of running the thing. O’Rahillys won last week so that means if a club team doesnt get to the final, they represent the Kingdom in Munster. Is that right?

i think sars have the stronger team, more balanced like, it really depends on what sars team turns up, the can be fairly inconsistent, like if sars were to play to their potential then they would put it up to the likes of portumna and ballyhale.

drom depend a bit too much on callinan for scores, so i say sars will probaly shade it on sunday

Dr Crokes are still there, I dont think its decided yet. Think the papers are talking shite, no one knows what the story is yet. Think KOR may have won the other club cship perhaps. Some slaps in that btw, Ardfert are a serious side, they’d be “connected” as the saying goes…

Martin Ferris is a selector for them.
I saw them playing the Junior final in Croke Park a few years back.
