Club Championships 2017

Psycho :pensive:

Thank you. Unreal service.

I wouldn’t say so. Still have a soft spot in the middle of the defence alright.

Harps win.

2-9 to 0-11.

Their first senior title in 26 years.

Sinn Féin’s John Finuncane captained Lamh Dhearg to the Antrim title. Met some great LD men at an attractive NFL Division 4 clash between Antrim and Wexford a couple of years ago.

Ballintubber cruise into the mayo final. Castlebar and Garrymore must meet again (presumably during the week)

Wednesday night

Rufus T. Firefly will be over the moon.

Great to see a fellow Bob Radcliffe Cup medalist get his hands on the trophy today.

Rufus is very much an alright sort. But it must be a very disappointing defeat for Maghery after disposing of Crossmaglen. They now find themselves in the position Cullyhanna were in last year.

You also failed to mention Mountbellew had their best player in the day, former Galway player Joe bergin sent off in the 2nd half and also failed to mention that corofin are one of the best club team around fir a number of years. They have just won their 5th in a row.they are a different gravey

When you take the top team in a surprise result, it’s always hard to reach that level of performance again.

It wasn’t such a surprise this year though that Maghery beat Crossmaglen - they did it twice in the same championship. So that must make it all the more disappointing for them that they couldn’t finish the job today.

Ah it was still a fairly big surprise. Maghery are a decent side. Very good midfield pairing in Lavery and Crealy and have the Forkers as well.

Harps should make the Ulster final, would expect them to handle what comes out of Cavan/Fermanagh/Antrim.

Draw very lopsided this year. Really tough ask for Slaughtneil having to from the preliminary round and particularly with the schedule when you load the hurlers in. I think Omagh might take them the next day.

That means Scotstown play Kilcar so?

Who’s at home in that?

St Martin’s defeated Shelmaliers in the Wexford senior football semi-final replay. They’re now contesting both finals - against Oulart in the hurling and Starlights in the football. Are St Anne’s in 2000 the last team to win the senior double? Has anybody else done it in the modern era*?
