I’ve always said this and got roundly mocked but as usual I was correct.
St. Conleth’s Park is all about a feeling of winter warmth. Right in the centre of Newbridge town with the pubs right beside you and the train five minutes’ walk away.
The quintessential winter venue to warm the cockles of the heart. If they put a roof over the terrace it could be the best venue in Ireland.

Friends of the forum Slaughtneil fired out a warning shot to the whole country yesterday with a an unmerciful hockeying of Clough Ballacolla in Abbotstown on the BOICMC.
3-16 to 0-07 after 40 minutes before the benches were emptied.
I think they’ll beat Cushendall in next weeks blockbuster Ulster Semi Final and they are the last team Ballygunner would want to play in an All Ireland Semi Final, the Saturday before Christmas.
Clough Ballacolla had beaten Loughmore last week so perhaps this wake up call might stand them in good stead before they play Na Fianna next week.
