Psychos Ballylinan relegated
Tremendous preview from Cahair here. The Derry County Board really did sell RTE a pup.
They did the same in a county final in Kerry hurling. Penalty last puck of the game. Saved rebound hit in. Whistle blown after the save. War
Illegal puppy farms are very big up that neck of the woods.
43 in a rows arenât easy won marty
Barrog beat Crokes 2 by 4 - 19 to 15
They got complacent
Pal in replay against Rathvilly in Senior final at 6 this evening.
Pal canât handle this Kevin Murphy fella at all. Rathvilly leading 2-9 to 0-11 with 3 minutes of injury time to play.
Naomh Barrog 0-18 Kilmacud B 0-14
Oliver Plunketts 1-18 Faughs 1-11
Got 1/2 right here. Didnât see either game so only going on teamsheets and twitter. Barrog had an eight point lead at half time and managed it from there. Delighted for them. Lots of good hurling men out there. Theyâve made great strides in recent years. Their first time in senior A @Big_Dan_Campbell? I think they have enough about them to stay up there.
Plunketts blitzed Faughs in the first half and were 10 points up at one stage. I did say they have that in their locker, but putting performances back to back is their issue. Plunketts got a straight red early in the 2nd half but Faughs failed to rally. A good win for Plunketts especially without their main man Cian Boland who is abroad. They will hope to avoid being a yo yo club next year.
See Olafs in the Inter final. Seen them twice last year and they were very poor. Hate saying it but Saint Stapleton must be getting a tune out of them.
Senior A circa 2017 but were relegated the same year
They are well too good for that level. Wouldâve been a joke if they didnât bounce straight up. Saint will take all the credit no doubt
There were 16 teams then. Much greater achievement to be there now with 10 and without their best forward
St Anneâs and Rapps finally got to play that senior hurling quarter-final tonight. David Redmondâs charges (St Anneâs) with a resounding 0-33 to 1-15 win. They now face the Shels who laboured to a 3 point victory against Crossabeg-Ballymurn last weekend. St Martinâs face Naomh Ăanna in a heavyweight clash in the other semi. Iâd fancy the Martinâs to win that one. They accounted for Ferns quite comfortably last Sunday whereas the Gorey men stole the victory against Faythe Harriers with a dramatic late goal from a Jack Cullen free followed up by a winning point from Conor Mac. The Lee Chin red card another caveat to that Naomh Ăanna victory.
Crossabeg were back in action in the big ball today where they were pipped by a point after extra-time as Gusserane advance to the senior final. Theyâll face either Castletown or Glynn-Barntown. Fethard beat the Fintanâs in the intermediate football semi-final today. We wait with bated breath for the outcome of that meeting tonight to find a solution to their hurling refereeing scorekeeping conundrum against Bunclody from last Saturday. Fethard have been blaggarded up until this point anyway. The Martinâs proved too strong for Horeswood in the other semi-final and Barry Oâ Connorâs return has them purring in the football. Ballynastragh Gaels (Kilanerin and Tara Rocks who are amalgamated at adult level) won the Minor football final today against Starlights of Enniscorthy.
Rathvilly are kingpins of Carlow football again after a 2-10 to 0-11 replay victory over Palatine. They got out of jail the first day but were deserving winners tonight. No minor or U21 title for almost 20 years has been no impediment for a club who are fast becoming the football version of St Mullins in terms of their shrewd team building. Two Carlow coaches locking horns in the Kildare final tomorrow as Naas meet Athy.
Poor crowd in Owenbeg.
Tomorrow will be a day of days in the same venue.
Staying with this for 60 minutes will be like Merse and Gazzaâs competition as to who could take the most amount of sleeping tablets and stay awake the longest.
This is awful fucking shit.
5 scores in a halfâŚ.
