Sounds like Ballinamere pushed KK all the way in the Offaly senior hurling final. Adam Screeney coming up clutch for Kilcormac-Killoughey in a second-half against the wind.
The break might do Kilmacud some good. If you think about it, most of them lads havenât had a Christmas to enjoy fully since 2019.
1x asterisked All Ireland on paper not a great return for what they have done but just shows All Ireland Clubâs are very, very hard to win.
Interesting to see how Cuala go. If they are down Con first day in Leinster they are vulnerable and everyone now will fancy their chances. Could be a year for Naas/Portarlington.
They had the wind in second half. Ballinamere were poor in first half seemingly and goaled just before half time to level it.
They were far better in second against wind and dug in, but couldnât hold them off.
I wasnât at it. Wind was ridiculous in Tullamore and it should have been called off. Not sure what the rush was to play it. Fact that Duignan was on Ballinamere management probably complicated it.
They play a very slow brand of football . Zero risk .more times than not they seem to leave the opponent in the game until last kick too. Theyâre so slow in possession that it doesnât matter if youâre a man down . So much talent there youâd expect more attacking play .
They only really opened up Cuala once today and that resulted in the goal which they took in fairness. Cualaâs movement and counter attacking was far more direct and dynamic and resulted in the better opportunities closer to goal. That was pivotal today in a day where it was so difficult to score from long range.
