That must be a correct statement, thereād never be any Ulster bias from Cahair or anything.
Cahair is reaching Miguel Delaney/Dan McDonnell levels of irritating
This is outstanding from Bogue.
I havenāt read that because itās behind a paywall but what a brilliant read it is.
There has to be a Friday Night Lights style book in Bogue about a year in Tyrone club football. A book that brings in a thousand stories of years gone by and tells you the real life of a county.
A book that makes you fucking smell it, makes you smell the spring, smell the summer and then smell the autumn. A book that makes you smell the grind, the unpleasantness, the dourness, hatred, the Cookstown sausages and the soda farls and the burger vans and the Loyalist bonfires. A book that makes you smell the Tyroneness.
One line in it really sticks out about the pressure that goes with being Errigal Ciaran manager.
When Malachy OāRourke had the gig in the mid 2000ās he didnāt set foot inside the town of Ballygawley for 12 months because of the intense scrutiny he was under.
Ballygawley RUC barracks was under less scrutiny from the Ra in the mind 1980s than the Errigal Ciaran manager is from his own people.
Defending All Ireland and 7 in a row in Galway chasing St Thomas are out. They had stuttered until now but a dissallowed goal in the 58th minute by James Owens was a big call
Tinahealy won by a point in the end. 0-16 to 2-9. They hadnāt won in 40 years so Iād imagine theyāll be in the pub for the week before their Leinster clash with Port.

Yep - looking that way. Iāve been over the West for last 3 weeks so havenāt been talking to anyone re line-ups etc. However, although he hasnāt been shooting the lights out I expect Crokes will have a plan for Burke - Iām not sure of the wisdom of this given the goal-scoring threat elsewhere in the NaF forwards.
Plenty of pace around the middle third for Crokes and NaF have an unfortunate habit of conceding goals to runs through the centre of their defence.
Iād like to see NaF win it but feel Crokes will do it this evening.
A nice father and son storyline there too.
Baltinglass back on top in a Wicklow thanks to a Carlow man as well
The physicality and athleticism of this will be off the charts.
That anthem rendition sounded like a car driving around a housing estate on the day of a General Election with a man talking into a foghorn telling people to vote for Fianna Fail.
I hope this game does not turn out to be a case of Na Fianna Fail.
Dunno if Iāll be able to handle an hour of Joe Fortune on comms
Evan Regan could yet be the final piece of the jigsaw for Mayo in 2016
Crokes are purring
Fuck, theyāve set some tone so far.
A lovely expectant roar from the crowd standing behind Donal Burkeās shot there as they saw it was going over the bar, then it dropped about 40 yards from the goals because it had been half blocked and spun up in the air.
This game looks done already.
It isnāt done but it looks done.
It was nice last week to have a game on where loads of lads from different counties came together and put on the same jersey. For us to get it here again is just wonderful.
