Are there any gaa pods at all that do a proper review of club action?

Some great goalkeeping malfunctions on TG4. Galway and Monaghan ones were spectacular.

In fairness, and I hate moycullen as much as the next fella, the moycullen one was mostly unlucky. He slipped, and I can’t tell you how bad the weather was, it was freezing lashing rain. Absolutely miserable. It was a very hard lesson never to play the ball across your own goal, but it looks a lot worse than it was.

Noel Doherty could be in huge demand after this run with Thomastown. He’s showing Shefflin how it’s really done.

Feakle winning today drives the final nail into Rosenborg you’d have to say.

Fair amount of club bringing beers into the dressing room. Not sure how I feel about that.

It looks like their conquerors Newbridge have taken over the mantle for questionable social media posts. I had to laugh at the interaction here though. Comical.

The most twitteresque twitter argument of all time. Two lads taking time out of their day to tell each other they don’t care about each other

The fact that none of the 4 finalists in all Ireland club this year got out of their own county epitomises the sheer greatness of club GAA.

Nothing like it.

You’ve to win 8 or 9 knockout games to get there. Its incredibly difficult to get back.

Compared to Inter County when its only 3 or 4 max.

He’s going in with Lyng by all accounts.

He has been at underage in recent years with a team his young lad plays on

Hard to see Dingle ever winning it now to be honest

Paul Geaney is at the the veteran stage and Dingle are goosed underage. Not even fielding on their own in some age-groups

Housing scarce in the town and locals cant afford whatever comes up for sale all equals dwindling numbers

I think the ship has sailed for them winning a senior county championship - they are a dogged enough bunch so you wouldnt know but all in all I d say yesterday was the golden opportunity that may not come around again

Would the same not be said for Killarney?

absolutely

But a bigger population than Dingle so situation is not as dire

Crokes are not the force they used be at underage and their numbers are down but they still have teams in every age group without the need to join up with anyone and will always have a player or two on the county minor and under 20 teams

They are bringing through a player or two every year to the adult senior team still despite the above mentioned challenges

That’s fair enough. As long as you’re bringing through even just a player every year to the adult grade that’ll do to keep things ticking. It’s the clubs on the periphery that need a once in a generation crew to lift it.

Who would be the biggest club in Kerry with regards playing numbers/membership etc? Stacks?

Yesterday’s defeat will haunt Dingle. Much better team for large stages.

Crokes have a great coaching structure - they will maximise what they have

I dont have a specific answer to your question. But generally clubs like Firies, Rathmore in big villages a few miles outside Killarney have increasing populations and bigger numbers than ever. Killarney people buying houses here and starting up families and falling in with these clubs. Milltown\Castlemaine is close to Tralee and Killarney and likewise benefitting

Stacks have big numbers but Kerins ORahillys are bogging in Tralee - have to join up with a club outside the town St Pats Blennerville at a lot of age groups. Tralee Parnells a relatively new hurling club in the town has good numbers in hurling and camogie which is great from a hurling point of view

Kenmare have huge numbers

massive problems in the Iveragh peninsula with rural depopulation - the main town on the peninsula and club St Marys Cahirciveen cant even field without an amalgamation at most age groups. Similiar problems in West Kerry and parts of rural North Kerry

Ballyduff bucking the trend in North Kerry - massive numbers underage in both hurling and football
