Club Championships 2024

No Evan O Carroll here for Cretty against Fr Manning Gaels in the Leinster IFC - tore his ACL playing in the InterProvincials.

Catastrophic loss for them to say the least.

No more than a few settlers tonight for the Doon lads hopefully

Is it not an absolutely ridiculous rule that if your second team wins a junior or intermediate championship they can’t represent the county at provincial level. I’m looking at the Munster Junior championship and The Banner for the 2nd year in a row represent Clare having been knocked out in a quarter final, Kilrossanty represent Waterford having been hammered in a county final, St Catherine’s won Munster last year when not winning Cork and could be back their again if winning tomorrow.

Kilkenny seem to have their system off to a tee with a separate junior attached teams playing their own junior championship where the winner is introduced at the quarter final stage as far as I know.

Second teams have no right to be in the provincials and All Irelands. Sorry lads, that’s how it is

And a team that can’t win a quarter final have ah stop your shit

I’m fine with a county sending no one forward then.

Or fuck all the second teams into their own tournament. Feel free to set it up and run it.

A fella not good enough to make the 1st team inside his own parish boundary has absolutely no business competing outside his county boundary.

“Softer side of a penalty” and me man after cleaning the Errigal fella out of it

Great stop Patton

Peter Harte fairly telegraphed that one.

Another horrible cheating diving rotten tyrone bastard

I think this is the solution

“The standard of goalkeeping has never been higher” and half them unable to field a high ball or make a save.

“Joe Oguz indicted for that one”

Ger fucking Canning is a pox

He must struggle at club games when he can’t spend half of the commentary saying what club players come from.

14 for Errigal must of had a heavy week off it three septic wides

It’s unfair to be asking the fella to shoot at all, he looks like he hasn’t the faintest idea how to put the ball through the posts. The standard overall is fairly poor, could be a night where the Tyrone champions get a very rare win in Ulster. Both sides will be handily dispatched when they meet some of the stronger champions though.

Kilcoo won’t lose any sleep watching this

Very poor quality here in Omagh,

You’d expect better with so many county players on show.

That’s the beauty of your normal club teams, genius players like the Canavans and Harte mixed in with absolutely limited scrap and trying to get it done as best you can. Not about your super clubs hoovering up players from here there and everywhere and winning hollow silverware.

The writing team would want to be tearing up that script fairly sharpish
