Ye Gods. The team in green and red managed by an O’Shea from Mayo come strong late to bury St. Jude’s. We now live in a world where all we know is wrong.
This must be the first time I’ve ever heard Briain Tyers speak English.
Wins for Newtown, Kanturk, Sars, Midleton and the Barrs draw.
You can’t beat the club
Last gasp David Clifford point wins it for Fossa over Beaufort.
2-25 to 2-24 AET
16 points for Clifford.
Watched the second-half. Rangers turned the screw on them eventually to win by 6 after a spirited effort by Bagenalstown. Chris Nolan scoring two sniper goals. St Mullins margin of victory earlier in the day would suggest a good final lies in store. Carlow Town v Burren Rangers in the intermediate final. So there’ll be a 7th team in senior next year.
Only the 16 points?
Errigal’s reward for beating Killyclogher tonight is to get drawn against Trillick in the next round.
We are lucky to live in the era of David Clifford
He’ll never be Maurice but he’s something else
No offence to Maurice but david is streets ahead
Your opinion is like that of a cows. Its Moo.
I wouldn’t write off Crokes. Got a serious kick up the hole the first day but motoring well now. No Walsh for the year but Mannion is purring
Slight pang of jealousy from that post. Kilcoo won 13 of the last 14 Down titles yet could only win 2 Ulsters in that time.
Whereas we haven’t had a back to back winner in Tyrone in that time and yet still have an Ulster club winner.
Tyrone have the strongest senior club Championship in the country, as the list of winners and representatives will prove.
Errigal will be big favourites now but will need to get past Trillick first. Having the 2 Canavans back is a big boost and McDermott and Quinn will give them a real added boost this year. No sign of Oguz yet though. Trillick seem to be carrying a few injuries at present but it should be a humdinger.
Interesting . Just thought looking at their team was surprised to see Horan and Dias still in mix .
Cuala will be gunning for Boden after last years robbery .
Boden’s aim is the all Ireland. A lot of bitter heads after last years capitulation to Dingle after being 10 points up.
Their defence seems to suspect to teams who hit their forwards quick
It’s not as simple as titles won. Easy to put it that way. Kilcoo have contested 7 finals since 2012 to Tyrone’s 2.
But that’s surely down to experience at that level and also tailoring to peak for the Ulster. Tyrone clubs are looking at having to be at their peak from the beginning of their club championship due to the strength in depth in Tyrone and having to be ready to go pull pelt from day 1 or risk being gone.
Kilcoo knew they would cruise through Down every year, Scotstown similar to that in Monaghan.
Scotstown were won 10 championships in Monaghan since 2012 and won 1 Ulster.
Kilcoo won 13 championships in Down since 2012 and won 2 Ulsters.
Derrygonnelly won 7 championships in Fermanagh since 2013 and no Ulster.
Cargin have won 8 in Antrim since 2012, no Ulster.
Naomh Conaill have won 6 in Donegal since 2012, no Ulster.
Errigal won 3 Championships in Tyrone since 2012 and won 1 Ulster. That’s the thing that separates Tyrone, there’s a list of very good teams that can win a County Championship which means our best prepared club for a provincial title might not make it through. For some of those other counties listed it is generally a procession for the strongest team go keep having a tilt at Ulster and building that experience.
No team has done back to back in Tyrone since 04 and 05 with Carrickmore.
The Tyrone champions played Kilcoo in Omagh 2 weeks after their county final last year, they were absolutely pathetic and it was complete men against boys stuff. Are Tyrone clubs playing their county finals when they have passed their peak, or is the drop off in 2 weeks that severe? Or are you clinging onto any type of excuse at all for Tyrone’s champions record in Ulster? A look at Loughmacrorys goal last weekend is a much better insight into why Tyrone champions are usually beaten first day out in Ulster.
You don’t seem to understand what you’re talking about.
A county champion is not a reflection on the county championship.
Down have had 2 champions in 14 years. Kilcoo have won 13 of them. The one time they didn’t come out it was Burren who took their place. Burren were knocked out in the first round in Ulster.
