Climb on board mate … there’s space here for you.

I would say there are more than a few Liverpool players that would happily take a champions league over a premier league any day of the week. It is more prestigious and the pinnacle of world club football and has a huge stage and audience. For the majority of Liverpool fans though the league is the number 1.

I’d say Liverpool fans would take the league this season instead? But if they don’t win the league this weekend, then I guess the CL would be a nice bonus.
I heard a L’pool fan earlier moaning that they’d be relying on Brighton to help them win the league. Well that’s the way it goes. I think they lost it when they were 7 points ahead at one stage. Can’t see Man City screwing up.

And prior to that Man City were 7 points up and lost matches.

Ultimately it is a 38 match season with ups and downs. That’s life never mind football. If Liverpool win on Sunday they have 97 points and one defeat all season. That cannot be categorised as ‘having lost it at a certain stage’.

Even the Special One is on board now.

That’s the modern world - it’s all about sticks to beat people with… No one remembers second, and rightly so… but to stick the boot into Liverpool for those stats is bizarre carry-on - City worthy champions and that’s the beginning and end of it.
