Amazing league season for Liverpool to post 97 points in 38 matches. Seemingly that would have won the league 116 of the 119 times it’s been played for. Most of those seasons were 42 match seasons as well.
Some task for little old Tottenham in the European Cup Final facing a side that finished 26 points ahead of them in the league.
A pity that this game is so devalued with the 2 losers competing

Our only hope really is that Liverpool might be a bit tired after putting in such an effort in the league to get to 97 points. Our lads have had the feet up in the league for the last three months.

It’s all about getting there for final night which Spurs and Liverpool have accomplished. Limerick won a hurling All Ireland last year after finishing 3rd in the group stages.

I made no comment on that. I was curious as it’s a very novel final. Neither team won their group. Neither team have won a league in donkeys years. Both managers are losers. It’s very novel.
