This final reminds me of the 1997 league final that Limerick won. A total irrelevance when the season was over.
Strange post. The European Cup Final is the showpiece match of club soccer, the culmination of the European Club season. In non World Cup and non European Championship seasons it is now played on the first Saturday in June. Don’t recall any comments here about the date when the 2015 final was played on 6 June 2015 or the 2017 final was played on 3 June 2017. Tomorrow is only the 1st of June.
