sweep sweep
iv denounced both in the strongest possible terms.
With that kind of barely decipherable sentence construction - it may be worth getting checked out for concussion yourself
Jarlath Óg (FFS) could have died. What sort of insufferable cunt of a manager/doctor allows this happen?
Jarly Og
There is a total lack of education surrounding concussion at GAA club level, according to former Galway footballer Cormac Bane, who has been forced to hang up his boots at the age of 35 following two bangs to the face which have considerably hindered...
Sean Cavanagh has been highlighting this as well. It seems to be sweep, sweep from just about all associated with gaelic football from administrators, to coaches, players and supporters.
Former Tyrone star Sean Cavanagh has admitted he fears the effects of suffering 3-4 concussions a season throughout his career.
Scary stuff.
As long as the game is played by gym monkeys who can’t kick the ball it’s always likely to happen
Bane hardly falls into the gym-monkey category
To be fair the first one was Rugby unsurprisingly #sweepsweep
Sounds like he got a right knockout the first time, you seem to be very susceptible to another after the first.
Bane hardly falls into the gym-monkey category
Yes, but he’s the one getting clattered by the gym monkeys.
No surprise really to hear he got the first bang playing rugby though.
Darkness is his ally.
Bizarre article that. All his problems started from a belt to the head in a rugby game which he played on with before getting terrible symptoms in the following days. When he eventually got back playing he got an innocuous hit in a football game and was taken off straight away. The conclusion is far more education is needed in gaelic football!

Ah look we can’t be pretending lads don’t get ko’d in Gah, not as common as Rugby but certainly an issue that needs addressing.
Of course it does happen and should be treated seriously but surely the organisation who has failed Bane there is the IRFU. Its absolutely terrible the symptoms he is describing, its no wonder the club rugby game is dying across the globe.
Gaelic Football could learn a lot from Rugby Union. What are the return to play protocols in Gaelic Football after a concussion?

Thankfully Gaelic football has conscientious coaches like Jim Gavin who would never let an obviously concussed player continue
There was an interview with an underage Roscommon footballer a few months back on the radio where he definitely suggested the reverse was the case. It was an awful interview to listen to actually, think he had six concussions across rugby and football.
Edit - misread your original post, must have got a bang to the head meself this morning.
There is an article about him on here as well. His first concussion also happened on the rugby field when he was very young. Its a disgrace what is happening on rugby fields up and down the country.
