They didn’t know and panicked…we just followed suit. That said there were some games being played- like fellas falling over in the street etc. Perhaps they were just trying to scare their own people into compliance

So now we have life saving vaccines which have improved our situation immensely, and no restrictions, we still have excess deaths.
It’s almost like Covid is actually a killer disease which still causes real harm and real death. I could pick out individuals on RIP.ie who have died from Covid in the last few weeks, because I know for a fact they died from Covid.
How will lockdowns turn out to be one of the biggest mistakes in modern western history when they have already demonstrably very much not done so and demonstrably saved lives. ie. far from being a mistake, being eminent common sense?

Like, are you seriously trying to say that Italy and the rest of Europe should have let Covid run totally rampant when all those army lorries were carrying bodies away in Bergamo in 2020 and the newspapers there had page after page after page of death notices?
