This isnât about money, this is about dreams.
The GAA own the FAI. They just allow them to exist for their own amusement.
Iâm sick of people criticising the FAI. They are a superbly run organisation and their general conference this year at Citywest this October should be a real showcase for that professionalism and dedication for their sport. Iâm looking forward to it.
For a Jew set on the destruction of indigenous peoples, mikee is taking this news quite badly.
First Ramblers go to the wall and now Cork City itâs tough times on Leeside.
Do ya think thereâd be any use in having another strike father?
There is only one man responsible for this, Tom Coughlan (Owen Oâ Callaghan). Tom (Owen) refused to give up his power, and was willing to let the club go out of existance rather than hand over in time so the new owners could make a stab at saving it.
The revenue did the right thing here, and called Tomâs (Owenâs) bluff.
There will be a new club, owned by decent people, it will take a couple of years, but i predict a title win within 6 years.
Sure Fingal are going to do it in 4.
Ya, but they exist right now, Cork donât have a team.
who owns Turners Cross?
if city dont own it and in fact they own nothing apart from a bag of balls and a set of corner flags, what will the revenue recoup here?
and what about Roddy? the poor cunt
I always thought Cork leased it off the Munster Football Association, and the FAI own Bishopstown so as far as I know Cork have fuck all assests.
Am I right in saying Fingal is only in existance two years though and in that time have won Div. 1 and the FAI Cup and qualified for Europe?
Bit of a jokeshop really but fair play to them.
Hopefully Fingal can go on to emulate Dublin City FC.
Will someone answer me a question down in Munster - is Coughlan pronounced âCock-linâ or âCaw-linâ. I always thought it was the former but RTE seem determined to always use the latter.
Its cock-lin in Tipp anyway.
In Cork it is Caw-lin but everywhere else it is Cock-lin
I thought they were fond of the cock down in Cork?
It would have been great for the League of Ireland and Cork City if a world renowned airline like Qantas, who have an Irish CEO too, had bought the club. Cork would have been flying high. Alas it was not to be.
