Cork GAA 2018

They lost the ‘stars’ but much stronger panel. Have 20 decent lads. Couple that started last year probably wont make starting 15. Pretty open year.

Fair play to them. Charleville were seen as a GAA black hole for a long time, Junior recently enough I think?

2010 or 2011, they were only junior.

Ben O’Connor put a bit of steel into them this year, it seems. Newtown & Ballyhea waiting for them next year.

And his younger brother

Frank steps down tonight. End of an era.

Is that our @caoimhaoin ?

Different Kev, although I think our Kev approves of this Kev iirc.

Great afternoon on the back pitch.
Team got to tog our in one of the dressing rooms, play on the 4g pitch and sent Aghada home with tae in their mugs!
And any club can ask the Pairc to use the pitch, just need to request it. Great memories made.

Hes a great appointment. He made an effort to round the clubs up a few years back to make fundamental changes but it came to nowt. Hes a GDA. Very (pleasantly) surprised he got the job tbh

Fitting that Frank walks away this year, after commencing the role in 1973.

He has done the state some service.

Cusack, Halpin, Gardiner, O’Sullivan - he saw them all off.

Saw them off? In the same way he saw off every other former Cork player of the last 45 years

Frank won, the mouthy renegades were emphatically seen off.

just like every other player of the last 45 years,

any chance our kev will come back? King Henry’s success in Ballyhale might be the catalyst to get him back.

he is missed. why did he leave?
