Cork - Old money, new hunger

That’s 2 years ago

It is but i would think Waterford would have no fear of the current Cork and Tipp teams at home.

He would play a similar role to Hayes surely, can’t see the pair together in the FF line. Hayes/Connolly/Dalton didn’t work either, far too narrow.

Healy and COB have nailed on positions. Cunningham will get plenty of chances with Hoggie gone.

Surprised Shane Kingston is gone, would have guaranteed he would have been involved.

Ballinora Shane?

Yeah.

What happened Conlon?
I don’t frequent the Clare thread in any detail…

First ever Limerick man to captain cork?

He got his wedding ring caught on the top of a fence while trying to retrieve a slioter. Was lucky to keep his finger let alone hurl again. Was only given a 20% chance that the finger could be salvaged when it happened but looks to have come good for him.

I think even before the hand injury that his days of being a starter were numbers. Don’t think his legs are gone but his hurling and decision making looked slow last year. But could be a decent impact sub off the bench.

Diarmuid Ryan will get the chance to stake a claim at 6 this spring. David Mc will be wing back, there are a host of options for wing back but no standout candidate - so wide open for someone to stake a claim during the league.

Hes a very lucky man, them wedding rings are lethal things at times. I believe he has some sort of contraption to allow him hurl, its incredible achievement if he gets back onto the field at intercounty championship level at all.

Conlon has been some warrior for Clare, through good times and bad.

Jesus they dont know bad times if they think he played through bad times.

I think he made his senior debut in 2009 but didn’t win a championship game for Clare until a qualifier game in 2012 against a Daly managed Dublin. Tony Kelly’s first senior game.

Very defensive looking setup.
With two 3s and two 4s, and No. 5 playing corner forward, most likely a third midfielder.
