Of course not Michael Collins bought them to the negotiating table. However i would prefer if things were sorted out by peaceful and democratic means.
Par for the course in langerville
It wasn’t us that allowed the english to use our city as a base for them to rule Ireland from for hundreds of years!Oh and it was a Limerick man that sold Collins out.You see Dev agreed with the deal that the english offered but he sent Michael Collins off to London to sign the treaty on his behalf.Michael Collins fell for the trap and Dev portrayed him as a sell out!
they were Cork cunts who fought for the crown who came to Wexford to stop them getting independence from Britain and rounded up the rebels and killed them on a hill
Here is as good of a place as any for this monstrosity.
Bishop of Cork & Ross Dr John Buckley has said comments made by a priest at a funeral mass in the city were “offensive” and “entirely inappropriate”.
Bishop Buckley was responding to complaints about a priest who asked mourners to pray that former Lord Mayor of Cork, John Murray would not be found guilty of sex assault charges.
In a statement, Bishop Buckley said the Diocese was unaware that these comments were going to be made, does not stand over them and sincerely regrets the obvious hurt they have caused.
Bishop Buckley said the Diocese fully respects the independence of the DPP and the Courts Service and regards it as entirely inappropriate that a funeral mass be used in such a manner.
The Diocese has been in touch with the priest’s Order and expects it to address the issue.
The priest, who was a visiting Augustinian is understood to be a friend of the Murray family.
In a statement issued to RTÉ the head of the Augustinians in Ireland apologised for distress caused by the friar’s comments.
Provincial Fr John Hennebry said the prayer was wholly inappropriate and has caused great distress.
He said what happened does not reflect in any way the sentiments of the Order with regard to child protection or due process for those who bring allegations of abuse or are accused of abuse.
Last Friday, Murray, who is 83, of Gregg Road in the City, was found guilty of the sexual assault of a teenager. He is to be sentenced on 2 December.
De Valera a Limerickman?
Just because he had his first wank in a cottage in Bruree doesn’t take from the fact that he was a Spanish-American breed of a Clare Roaster.
Cork beat Wexford in a match down there during the Ringy era. There was an incident in the match that enraged the Wexford supporters and they gave chase to the car that was bringing Ringy home after the match. As the car was pulling clear Ringy poked his head out the window and shouted back some home truths about the 1798 rebellion at the Wexford fans!

De Valera was born in New York City in 1882 to an Irish mother; his parents, Catherine Coll (subsequently Mrs Wheelwright), an immigrant from Bruree, County Limerick, and Juan Vivion de Valera, a Cuban settler and sculptor of Spanish descent.
Juan Vivion died in 1885 leaving Catherine Coll and her child in poor circumstances.[11] Éamon was taken to Ireland by his Uncle Ned at the age of two. Even when his mother married a new husband in the mid-1880s, he was not brought back to live with her, but was reared instead by his grandmother Elizabeth Coll, her son Patrick and her daughter Hannie, in County Limerick. He was educated locally at Bruree National School, County Limerick.

I read about it in Tim Horgans book about him.In general though Ringy was a great friend of Wexford and he had great time for that 50’s Wexford team.

one simpleton spinning a yarn about another simpleton
this anecdote was doing the rounds in the canteen in rehab where BC works but isnt ever mentioned by norms
Bullshit on so many levels.
And a biographer has never once concocted an amusing yet harmless anecdote to make his subject appear more likeable or fiery?
Christ, it’s like that story retards like to tell of when asked for their pizza in 6 slices because they’d never eat 8
was this before or after the Wexford players carried him off on their shoulders after beating him and Cork in an AI final.
I think I’ve seen that film
Look emotions were probably enflamed because those Wexford fans were hoping to get the chance to beat the great man up!
