Cork, the softest of cunts (Part 2)

What do people reckon re: Walsh, starting either or both U-20 or senior next week.

Will just play senior i would imagine.

Two clubs I had not come across before, St Colum’s and Tadhg MacCártaigh.

Both villages in West Cork, both represented relatively well in Cork football squads in my lifetime.

Thanks. Just not familiar to me somehow.

Thanks. Just saw same online.

West Cork is a place I do not know at all. And several friends tell me it is maybe the most beautiful part of Ireland.

Supposedly very tough conditions in Fraher Field tonight.

Nonsense for these young lads to be playing critical developmental games in conditions like that.

Makes a total bollox of the hurling too.

There has to be a greater degree of flexibility in the underage calendar if you are scheduling games in early spring.

it’s a round robin under 17s game where 4 teams out of 5 qualify.

Critical is over selling it.

Exactly - character building stuff for them

The blues game at RSC has just been called off

Anyone actually watch the game and can give some impressions?

Tis the bloody seniors that need character development

The conditions were obviously dreadful. At least the gale was swirling, so it didn’t cause a complete game of two halves. Game shouldn’t have gone ahead last night.

Cork showed a nice level of grit to get the win. Our half back line were good and our middle 8 seem slick enough moving the ball but it’s hard to judge anything really.

Our tactic of allowing Waterford to go short every time was strange. Their goalie had trouble hitting the ball beyond 50 yards due to the horrendous swirling gale and heavy rain when we did press up, but we did it twice in the whole game.

Cork look to have a strong bench too. The young lad of Timmy Mc scored a fine point.

Waterford #3 was my MOTM. They have some right FB line prospects coming.

Tipp up next which will tell us an awful lot more with hopefully far better playing conditions.

Disgrace playing in that… only saw some of the highlights.

Are we likely to see the same team as the league final but Coleman for Mullins and Walsh for Harnedy?

Who will take frees next day out? Buckley with Coleman foe the long ones?

Ben might just keep letting everyone have a go to piss off Dalton and Landers.

Haven’t seen the game yet but Connolly didn’t take any of them?

He took them inside 45
