Sure did, but the Joyce turnover really knocked the shit out of Cork just as they were getting really up to it. It literally killed all the momentum.
Have to credit Waterford, they are supremely fit and absolutely believe in the system their management ask them to play. If they can cut out the silly wides then they can ask big questions of Galway through sheer doggedness alone.

What was evident today - now the sending off helped this - was the fitness of Waterford. In the game against Kilkenny, when they came out for extra time, I knew theyâd win. They still looked so fresh while Kilkenny were on their knees
