I have a lot of respect for @backinatracksuit, and have previously suggested that he be a bit more selective in the personal info he makes public. This morning’s interaction was about highlighting that life will go on no matter what decisions we make. I think we got it all sorted, but that other fruitcake is in looking for a row.

Creche reopening on the 29th thank fuck. I’ve heard a few that are waiting for the next phase, so they don’t have to deal with the nonsense. They still haven’t told us if it’ll be full time or whats going on. But a few hours a day would be enough for me. I’m savage efficient.

I’d be interested in the maths behind this. For a true read you’d need to estimate the cost if we had done nowt.

I was picking up on the language being used here. “Fear”, “no other way”, “massive blow”. There are also positives for families where the parents of the children take responsibility for raising the children, rather than sub-contracting it out to childcare providers.

If it came down to it I’d have to resign my position which would be a massive blow but i wasn’t speaking about my own situation as such, if we are to begin a school year where children are in school part time and there’s no solution in sight it’s going to be unworkable for a massive amount of families, we won’t starve but plenty will be put to the pin of their collar, I think that’s what McHugh was addressing last week and the INTO man the other night on Primetime seemed amenable to that,

The INTO guy the other night was superb - struck exactly the right tone. The other teacher unions should have a look because he was the opposite of what their normal public representatives are.

There were 3,400 patients treated in private hospitals in April. “Treated” doesn’t necessarily mean “treated in ICU”.
