I see a few businesses on facebook boasting that they’ve had a professional cleaning service in to sterilize the shop front and shop.
Were their customers licking the windows or what? The virus doesn’t survive for what 12 hours max on surfaces? So there isn’t much point sterilizing a shop that’s been empty for 12 weeks. Once people go in then the germs will be back on the surfaces straight away.
It’s all a bit mad.
Have to be seen to be doing the right thing, whether it’s completely fucking stupid or not. What a waste of money for businesses, who are already struggling.

It’s comical how they consider these different COVID related matters from week to week, and take the logic defying course of action practically every time.
It’s almost admirable. It’s proper committee thinking. A load of lads pulling in different directions and rather than going in a given direction, they end up with a bastard compromise of everyone’s idea mashed into one.

Yeah but the worry is is that some people are still listening to them and businesses that are already in a bad place are adding a lot of cost trying to jump through these illogical hoops.

It is unreal. The office lying empty for 3 months and then a ‘deep clean’ before people come back in. For absolutely no good reason.
It’s a farce. The cleaners are making hay. They’ll have loads of work but no one will pay them.
It’s understood, for indoor gatherings:
Under the bed 1 person limit from June 29th
Under the bed 1 person limit from July 20th
Out from under the bed 50 person limit from June 29th
Out from under the bed 100 person limit from July 20th
