Coronavirus - Dig In, It's going to be a while yet

Against Clare again :joy:
The Munster Championship
Beaten by Waterford in the SF
Yes, the Waterford who were destroyed in the AI final.

Must do better.

Remind me how Galway did against Cork in that match you are referring to? An aul qualifier.against a Cork team that Tipp beat handy below in the Pairc with Seamie scoring 0-03 from play.

Callanan also scored 1-03 against Waterford in the AI Semi Final

Joe scored 2-12. We are talking about Joe mate, not Galway.

Was the steps rule only brought in after that?

It was extended to 10 steps after that to accommodate Shane O’Donnell and Colin Fennelly.

Good grief :see_no_evil:

Some excellent data here on % requiring hospitalisation (15% of cases), % requiring ICU (5% of cases), associated death rates (50% for ICU patients) and also typical trajectories of sickness

It’s fascinating. 85% of those infected have either no symptoms or mild to moderate symptoms, like the common cold or flu, and develop immunity within 5 to 10 days. Virus sent packing like the common cold. If we assume the 5% are elderly with underlying illnesses and needing ventilation, that leaves 10% of infected people who go from no symptoms to severe symptoms needing hospitalization within a few days. These appear to be otherwise young and healthy people, there has to be some other factor.

My old man is on lockdown 15 days now. We drop supplies at the back door.
Regular chats on the phone & the kids have waved in from the car etc.

No physical contact, gloves etc handling supplies and wash wash those hands.
He wasn’t a regular tripper to town but this is getting to him. He lives alone & loves live sport. Only for the dog he’d “ be gone for the hills “ in his own words.

He’s worried a large amount of elderly will turn to suicide.

Tough times pal

It’s very tough on people who are alone.

I saw an article in the Irish Times this morning about that man whose three children were murdered, he was appealing for the public to write him letters. Can you imagine what isolation is like for that poor man. God love him.

Jesus. Nothing in life but the house of ghosts you are confined to. Heartbreaking.

Desperate. Always need to remember that days are long and years are short. We will be out the back of this in a few months

Arsenal giving West Ham a trimming here on BT. 5-1 up… Brian Kidd with two, Alan Ball with one. Brady having a decent game and Stapleton has just come on for Pat Rice.
