Coronavirus - Dig In, It's going to be a while yet

Itā€™s easy from the cheap seats. Didnā€™t you head to Kerry a few weeks ago for the exact reason people are leaving Dublin? I think itā€™s unfair anyway. Itā€™s almost impossible to self isolate in densely populated areas.

The Dubs better not unflatten the curve

Itā€™s much more fair to leave and infect the rest of the country

I think the tactic there would be the Bermuda triangle trick. Weā€™d grab the grub, booze and SUV and drown the bastards in bogholes. A rustic can always use a Landcruiser.

I went before the restrictions and I came back because of the logistics involved because of possible restrictions, after I had a good think about it. Mistake. Yes.

I wont lie boxy and I know Iā€™m lucky enough in a sense but in my area there hasnā€™t been much of it and there isnā€™t many fearful from what I hear or see. In fact Iā€™d be more worried about people just packing it In this weekend if the weathers good. I heard people mention barbecues and cans a few times already. The long weekend will be a huge test of peopleā€™s resolve.

They get their orders from drew harris. Sorry if you thought dessie ellis would be calling the shots on them some day pal

Here.

This.

This is why we need these measures

The strong will eat the weak before this is over yet. You need to be in the right camp on this one. Itā€™s die dog or shite a license time.

This law will have long lasting effects anyway and peopleā€™s reactions will be interesting as well. Night chaps.

That right is not being trampled on currently. There are plenty of children getting educated outside of schools during these ā€œunprecedented timesā€. The Education (Welfare) Act makes provision for parents to educate their children at home. And, shock horror, they donā€™t even need to follow the national curriculum.

Tip of the hat to @Julio_Geordio for some exceptionally good posting tonight.

I think Iā€™m four weeks on Thursday on my own in the house. Iā€™m genuinely surprised I havenā€™t gone completely bat shit crazy being honest :joy: I hope you are safe in the Wild West anyway

And Drew reports to Justice ministerā€¦

The constitution says that you have a right to free movement in the countryā€¦ The only part that mentions restrictions of movement is if youā€™re deemed a threat to national securityā€¦ So is this a health issue or a national security issue? Presumably if Harris is signing off itā€™s a health issueā€¦ Is it unconstitutional?

Isnā€™t everyone a threat to national security these days. Isnā€™t that why weā€™re staying within 2km of our abodes?

Thatā€™s What Iā€™m asking. Is that how theyā€™ve worded it?

The constitution doesnt matter to a lot a people if thereā€™s a global pandemic which theyā€™re scared out of their wits ofā€¦ No better time to put the likes of this through without any opposition.

Go away and read the act, lads canā€™t be ladybirding everything for you

Reports to and does his bidding are two entirely different things.

The right to travel isnā€™t absolute. Can be limited in certain circumstances. Read back my posts.

Its a health issue but how do you enforce compliance without criminal or other pelanty

Who asked you?
