Coronavirus - Dig In, It's going to be a while yet

Emergency powers such as this should face proper parliamentary scrutiny. This hasn’t.

Also it’s not as if FG and the gardai have well established good faith and honesty.

It’s fucking nuts … three weeks waiting on results. While the front line staff will always rise to the occasion, the pen pushers in the HSE will always make a bollix of things.

Jesus

Dinny Healey-Rea really should be given his right to scrutinise it alright.

How were some countries able to get results back within a day or two?

Of course someone like you would only be too happy to put thatuch power in the hands of the black and tan celebrants

That’s a shout.

What we talking here? Few steaks or just burgers

You could have people riddled with the virus stacking shelves in shops. People bringing this stuff home into their houses and whole families being infected because they are all cooped up inside in their homes.

Ryan Tubridy and Claire Byrne were’nt waiting 3 weeks.

People riddled with the virus are being told to stay at home and self isolate.

Everyone is being told to practice good hygiene, anyone I’ve seen stacking shelves in shops in recent weeks are wearing gloves.

If we aren’t contact tracing we’ve no idea who has the virus and who doesn’t.

Is a swab any use after 3 weeks? Like, can it be used with any effectiveness to give an indicative result

It passed in the parliament didn’t it.

The second point is tinfoil hat stuff.

How else do you propose compliance, which will save lives, be enforced?

If you’re riddled with the virus, you’ll know.

You won’t. We still don’t have any idea of how many people are carrying the virus but haven’t got sick from it. They can be carrying it and leaving it everywhere.

Aaaaaaand, we’re back to talking about contact tracing :grinning:
Yes we’re done now fellas, the circle is complete, go back to your lives :+1:

How?

If you’re not coughing and spluttering, you’re practicing good hygiene and adhering to the social distancing guidelines then there’s very little chance of you passing it on if you’re asymptomatic.

There are essential workers who are required at this time and there are those who aren’t and the rules about this are very clear, fall in and do your bit.
