Coronavirus thread - 19/10/2020 - The Day Ireland Died

Replies suggest the tide of public opinion is turning.

The big worry is the 6 to 9 month timeframe is the new “next 2 weeks”. If that’s the case emigration would be more appealing.

Why a 6 to 9 month window. Why not 4 or 34. It’s all just guesswork. They just can’t say we haven’t a clue but there’s more than covid killing people.

A guy on the radio today said that international travel levels are unlikely to return to 2019 levels until 2024.

“I dont think we’re doomed”. :joy:

No just completely fucked.

We’re pursuing a policy that’s basically a “hang on until there’s vaccine” policy.

This isn’t sustainable

WHO even said it wasn’t sustainable. That’s complete incompetence.

It’s no different than most western countries though. We aren’t an outlier

Reset the clock

Heard of a woman today who felt unwell for a week. Positive. Husband checked, negative. All but guarantees he had it and felt nothing and had built immunity

Isn’t it generally agreed the vaccine will be here by December ?

I will. We’ll self isolate, keep the kids out of school etc and inform close contacts.

Not a hope
