Cases in the UK peaked on July 19th at 55k per day, coincidentally the same day that the UK dropped all remaining restrictions. This was met by hysteria from Independent SAGE that it would lead to a catastrophic rise in cases, hospitalizations and deaths, echoed by a few nutters on this site.
Strangely enough cases have been dropping since July 19th, and are now below 30k daily. They could of course rise again, and we could see what is happening in Israel where hospitalized vaccinated are now outnumbering hospitalized unvaccinated by over 2:1. The narrative will have to change again, as it has in the US where the vaccinated are being advised to wear masks to protect themselves from the unvaccinated.
It will never end. ADE (Antibody-dependent Enhancement) is coming next and that could be a complete shit show this winter.

40k allowed for all Ireland finals. Late August, you could even make vaccination a requirement without difficulty, almost everyone has the opportunity to be fully vaccinated at that point. I genuinely donāt get why they donāt allow more. Is half capacity really much safer than full in an open air stadium.
