I trust Ulster Rugby to deal with this in a fair and transparent manner. These guys are excellent rugby players and their whole careers shouldn’t be ruined for some immature behaviour.

Are they going to examine the contents of every players phone? Do Ulster Rugby own the phone? The comments were in the context of a private group, it’s now an issue because they went public.
The tone and content of the message is obviously unsavoury but any WhatsApp group of 20 something men about town is going to be similar. It’s not right but I think it would be very difficult to discipline Gilroy for it.

Rugby in Ireland has many similarities to AFL.
The authorities chasing down a runaway culture. In fairness they seem to largely have a handle on it in Oz now and there has been a retraction on the nonsense.
Some of their schools would resemble our rugby fraternities. Most the best schools are Catholic run and have similar ethos to the likes of CBC.
They do select from a wider demographic than rugby here but they still did share a large crossover.
Teaching has evolved a bit too in these rugby schools and it’s no longer all ex students which seemed to be the past. They now target the best teachers.
@fenwaypark may have more insight, that’s my experience or knowledge of Cork schools anyway.
They don’t target the best teachers. Only Institute of education do that. Also ex students get jobs if jobs available and get promoted over all others.

The lovely ladies themed threads are in very poor taste. The degradation of females and the grading of them as sexual objects is not something any clued in poster would be found partaking in in the current environment.
