Is this just a Belfast thing? Poor Jamie Dornan gets treated like a piece of meat by females after 50 Shades of Grey instead of as the artiste that he is.
Agreed — this pack mentality fuelled by privilege stems back to the old late victorian empire mindset … that’s why it’s so prevalent in rugby and private school boys.
For the good of our game we need to change this.

A few of the dads came to his aid … Not only have such actions of giving a smart phone to a child been torn apart by psychologists from a mental health point of view but now it’s been shown that use of phones by kids is lending to rape culture and all kinds of inappropriate sexual conduct and situations.
Anyone that gives a smart phone to a child under 16 should really be reported to the child protection crowd.

He makes a great point about men seeing sex as something that is done to a woman rather than with a woman.
A lot of men’s language around sex is based round violence.
I presume Craig Gilroy could legally challenge any proposed sanction in the courts here. At the end of the day he basically text his mate to see if he scored the night before. Who hasnt done that? Are we all to be suspended and maybe fired?
While admittedly, through no fault of his own, he has most likely brought Ulster Rugby into disrepute. I would imagine the Club has a Code of Conduct that would have been triggered by this. He’d be as well off keep his head down and take the rap.

There are a few ironies about this whole bunworry. The young lady in question referred to poor Ms Florence and friends as “slutty” and reports would suggest she manhandled a few gentlemen before finding a suitable bedfellow.
Ulster rugby should say Gilroy’slanguage was inappropriate but private, undertake to speak to their players and then they should move on after having followed any relevant disciplinary procedures .

Lets look at what he said

The dictionary gives 3 definitions of the word slut. We will take the one down for the disparaging and offensive meaning.
“A sexually promiscuous woman, or a woman who behaves or dresses in an overtly sexual way”
Now the word “fucked” … from the verb fuck is defined as
“to have sexual intercourse with” (slang)
“Any sluts get fucked?”
I dont see the problem here.
Ulster rubby needs to be disbanded immediately.
