Cruciate Ligaments

interesting article from hoganstan, ive heard stuff like this before and i belive blades are banned at old trafford are there any studies to back this up does anyone know?

ger hartmann maintains that gaelic players concentrate too much on quad strength to the detriment of their hamstrings and the imbalance causes stress on the knee.

Having undergone a cruciate reconstruction and tried to incorporate more prevention techniques in my training to mitigate a reocurrence, one of the steps I have taken is discarding the predators and puma king bladed boots and bought addidas world cups that have proper studs. It definately reduces the risk to wear proper studs.

Where and when did you read this?

todays times

An interesting read and I like my blades but I can say from experience that a lot of stress can be prevented by having a decent pair of shoes on in your daily life, I started wearing doc martens and my troubles have eases considerably, I’d wear em at occasions too if I was let

I am going to invest in a new pair of boots. Have a set of Puma King Exec’s which are the bones of 5 years old now and fairly worn, but have steel blades and are super for the the heavy/soft ground but some of the stitching is starting to come loose. I also have a pair of adidas World Cup boots with plastic blades but have never been too gone on them

Am looking for something possibly with molded plastic studs as opposed to blades. Anyone any decent suggestions

Do you Puma not do their Puma Kings with molded studs anymore? These were my boots of choice before I had to hang them up. :frowning:

But you don’t want regular moulded studs like these is it?

Yes, they are the type of studs i want for when the ground dries out.

How about these bad boys?

Oh right, I thought it was something out of the ordinary you were looking for.

I alway reccommend speciali. Love the boot. These look good as they have the blades at the back but the studs at the front.

I’m not a fan.
The unseasonally dry weather will see my having to invest in a pair of mouldies sooner than anticipated.
Perhaps even tomorrow, although the selection of boots in Limerick will be SHIT.

I may do, but I’d like to try them on first. I’m different sizes depending on the boot.

Thinly veiled I’m a club footed dwarf.

Very original, well done.
