The Michelin Guide of 2014 has awarded one star to two restaurants in Kilkenny, Campagne, which is in the City, and Lady Helen which is in Mount Juliet. With two restaurants of Michelin star quality, this sees Kilkenny assume the mantle of ‘Culinary Capital of Ireland Outside the Pale’ (CCIOP).

Ate in Mount Juliet a couple of years ago and was tremendous, one of the finest meals I’ve ever had, not surprised it had been awarded a star
Hopefully they both hold onto it for longer than The Lockes in Dublin did. Could someone find Kid Chocolates posts about that place when he was trying to treat his missus to a night out?
