Tried the Continental four seasons a few years back. Not as bulletproof as the gator skins but a bit lighter.
Just looking at the bike there. I have a Bontrager 25mm on the front and a Four Season 23mm on the back. Must change the front one soon.
I can’t have two different tyres on the bike, my OCD won’t let me. Went on a cycling trip in Spain once and had two different tyres on the bike given to me, I could have gotten over it but the front tyre had a blue rim on it and the bike was black with yellow writing - wrong on so many levels.
I put the continental on the back wheel in October just before winter because I had a couple of punctures . Didn’t get around to changing the front one.
It’s okay. I’ve switched on and off the lights here 6 times here.
Schwalbe Duranos.
The peloton are all on 25 these days. Supposedly quicker for whatever reason.
Yeah was reading that somewhere.
I’ve just pimped my other bike. Put 25’s on as I believe everything anyone tells me by and large.
I defo find fatter tyres comfier anyway, and speed isn’t an issue nor are aerodynamics at a snails pace.
Yeah. It’s a flat bar racer.
That’s what my wheels are currently wearing. Good value tyre
Best puncture protection by a good chalk in my experience, and I’ve tried everything (in my younger days I chalked up about 200 miles a week).
Struggle to put on, but once they are on, the job is Oxo.
Here’s what it looks like, I don’t understand the lingo
Noticed a difference alright, especially going uphill, and if you get out of the saddle at all you’re pumping fierce power
Looking forward to getting out into the countryside proper
Shimano cleats and pedals. Pretty much the same as Look. No looking back now and don’t mind when you fall off getting out of them.
Your track there is flat so the 27km/h would be around right for a lad as fit as yourself.
Would you ever consider weeding the garden?
That is a very cool piece of kit, I actually just had a browse and it appears to be unavailable anywhere.
While I have you, what’s the benefit of a proper cycling jersey?
And is it worth spending money on a good brand?
Ventilation, storage, lack of chaffing I’d guess, and aerodynamics if you wanna get technical I suppose (it’s a tighter fit than a running top, for example). I’d be no expert but I’ve never without cycling gear on, bar for commuting.
Locke, Flatty and Balbec will have a better idea as to why. Get a decent one.
I’ve a truck load of jerseys. Most of them are TdeM and they are basic and practical. Have a better Spin11 one which is nice. My Callan CC one is nice too.
Sure that’s a synopsis of what I said
