The UK and Ireland World Championship Qualifier is on today.
73 entries which is a very low I think. The £90 entry fee probably turned off a few but surely worth a go if the winner is guaranteed £15k.
Few Irish lads gone over.
I know them all except your mate at the end.All top quality lads but all very beatable too.
Savage numbers entered for the festival this weekend in Killarney.
1207 people entered all in across mens womens and youths competitions.
They’ll be lads queuing up to have a cut off Colin Osborne when they’re after about 8 pints.
14 year old Mitchell Lawrie from Scotland is making the trip over. He won the British Open Singles in September putting up some savage numbers.

I see that 14 yr old won the winmau Irish classic and the youths… nice weekend for the lad in Killarney… Luke littler has some serious competition on the way!
Youngest ever winner,15 years and 4 days old.Littler was 15 years and 4 months.Beau Greaves was seriously unucky ,losing 5-4 to MVG and Anderson.She has an absolutely beautiful throw,effortless.She’ll be back.

A good weekend in Killarney. There was 742 players for the singles on Friday night and the final started at 2:45am 
West Limerick man Mike Flynn won that. David Davies from Wales who won the Ally Pally qualifier last weekend continued his good form to win the big Irish Open last night.
Mitchell Lawrie who I mentioned above won the both Youths events and he won the men’s classic on Saturday. He turned 15 last week. The youths events are held upstairs and the rule is no alcohol allowed in that area. Mitchell was going downstairs in between his games and drinking pint bottles of cider 
He recorded some serious averages. He is 11/1 to win the Men’s competition at Lakeside in a few weeks. If he can continue to hit them averages and find someone to get his pint bottles he will go close.
The darts “special” in the venue was a pint of Tuborg for €6. No Coors available so I settled for a pint of Rockshore for €6.70.
The only double I was able to hit on a consistent basis over the weekend was vodka…
