Very hard to disagree with whoever that was. For a start - I dont subscribe to addiction being a disease. Thats a very soft out and a victim mentality.
Obviously people who cant stop gambling have some kind of neurological dissonance when it comes to gambling but if it wasnāt gambling it would be something else. Their wiring is off and gambling is the vice they choose to try remedy their problems⦠but you cant get addicted to gambling - Iād argue itās impossible.
Itās a complex issue, but it is used as, and accepted as an excuse fur some truly awful behaviour. There are plenty of people who gamble far too much who donāt steal of everyone around them.
No one is denying there are people with problems but as i said, itās deeper than gambling.
Davy is box office. Lads give out stink about him but hurling would be duller without him.
Nah heās a cunt - delivers nothing now
100% heās a pox on hurling and Gaa in general
Heās one more chance. If he doesnāt take it, thatāll be that for him.
Surely Waterford or Wexford will have him back one last time @Bandage @Fagan_ODowd
The documentary writes itself. Davy does Dublin (so he does).
Protect the referees says Davy.

Iād rarely agree with him but the sideline isca desperate place to watch a match if you are trying to monitor, match upsā set ups etc.
Heās surely kite flying for a paid role in something.
If Davy wanted to sit up in the stand, I donāt think anyone would stop him. Off you go Davy.
If the manager did go up into the stand, he would definitely have a better view but would still presumably be micād up to someone on the line whoād be shouting in or whatever.
And thatās the managerās job really. The manager isnāt the coach and often isnāt the one devising the tactical plan or whatever⦠so it probably makes more sense to put the coach up into the stand and have that manager doing what heās good at- talking.
You forgot the other article - poor chap is always the victim
If Davy farted down the phone to him Fogarty would print it
It would be the equal of his usual musings.
