You donât win the Tour on bread and water. Froome goes on about improved diet and whatnot as a reason why heâs able to ride up mountains faster than lads who are known dopers. Itâs absolute bullshit.
PK: Do they follow the rules?
CF: I believe they do . . . Oh, fuck me! I wouldnât be able to get on my bike and train the way I do, if I thought these guys didnât follow the rules. Iâve got to believe my rivals are clean and doing it by the book or Iâm done before Iâve even started a race.
Is this guy for real?
He wonât even submit to a VO2 test. A joke. Heâs quite obviously a doper. Wiggins too.
Iâve seen him interviewed a few times and he seems like a weirdo, granted they were interviews conducted after races and he was probably off his head.
Sheâs a complete lunatic, getting involved with spats with cycling fans on Twitter, including a barney with Wigginsâ wife, registering for the Clinic forum on cyclingnews.com to spout pro-Froome stuff and generally giving her obviously biased opinion wherever and whenever she can.

Interesting interview. Kimmage has no fear over asking very leading questions.
Amazing they can ride they way they do with calorie limited diets too. Obviously there is a huge weight/power element to it but how far does that go/where is limit.
I wonder what percentage of pro cyclists are asthmatic versus percentage of general population
Kimmage was actually reined in in that article. He obviously didnât have long to get it out. He is very good though. He conveyed his doubts, the fact that froome may just possibly be clean aft all, and his dislike of Michelle cound quite well in the short space of time he had to frame it. I prefer other articles where he has had time to think.
In recent times as Iâm getting old, I have started to pay much more attention to portrait paintings wherever I see them. The interest for me lies in the way a good portrait artist, whoever they be, seems to be able to convey what they think of their subject, be it a lady golf club captain or an aristocrat. If the painter doesnât like the person, or finds them arrogant or sly, they can somehow seem to convey this both subtly and completely blatantly at the same time. Kimmage can do this with his writing, which puts him a level for me above Donal og, who is a really good writer, but, as pointed out above, needs to grow out of the mythical mystical warrior sport Shyte, and the bromance for Sean og, the rock and roy keane whilst he is at it. I donât mean this in a snide way whatsoever, but he needs to throttle back the adulation a touch.
Question really is over âdesigner dopingâ with team sky, and weight loss drugs in particular. I always found the most interesting comment in Tyler hamiltons book (highly recommended btw) was that if you offered him the choice between 3 points higher on his haemoglobin, and 3 kg of weight loss, heâd have taken the weight loss every time.
The interview is fascinating. You have to hat tip Froome for allowing it but you are still none the wiser after reading it. I agree with @flattythehurdler Kimmage subtlety gets across his complete skepticism of Sky / Froome throughout the questioning.
I think Kimmage has done well to get Froome to admit to all the inhalerâs, supplements and painkillers he has taken. And he put a fair amount of pressure on Froome to try get him to slag off Basso & Vinoukorov - and record the fact he didnât.
I think on a whole you can be more confident in your opinion heâs a drug cheat after reading that. (If that was your opinion in the first place)
Agree apart from the drug cheat bit. I was pretty sure he was, now Iâm not so sure. Itâs the freezing of samples, and potential retrospective testing that gives me doubt. I suspect Iâm being naive though.

Ya thatâs fair comment. I thought this weeks was a little self indulgent and pointless. He also seemed to hve a few snidish goâa off one or two lads which i didnât think were needed.
