Iā€™ll make a note flatty. Heā€™ll tell the truth on ANYTHING once itā€™s off record. Heā€™s great!

On a serious note heā€™s a hero of mine and vital for anti doping journalism. Iā€™d ask anyone here whoā€™s interested in his work to send him a message of support. He sounded really down in the mouth.
If that sounds fanboyish, so be it. I believe heā€™s vital to sport and journalism.

What are YOU grinning about?

You running around after that ā€œPKā€ gimp like a teenager with a crush.

Danny Taylor of The Guardian with a story about Graham Taylor being told by the FA not to pick too many black players when he was England manager. Taylor gets a lot of interesting stories.

Youā€™re just jealous. Rocko has Ewan, Mickee has Miguel, I have Paul.

Who have YOU got???

it appears Tom McGurk is suing Paul Kimmage

Well played Tom

Over what? Talking shit about Rugby on TV?

who cares

I wasnā€™t bothered until you posted, you prick teasing cunt.

Iā€™ve a vague memory of Kimmage writing something criticizing McGurk for not calling out Michelle Smith at some stage. I think the article it followed McGurk having a go at Kimmage for suggesting rugby mightnā€™t be squeaky clean

Yeah, McGurk appeared on the Today With SeĆ”n Oā€™Rourke show for a long interview one weekday morning a while back. Think it was around the time he was retiring from presenting the rugby football on RTE in the aftermath of the Two Nation championship. It was at the time that PK was starting to get more vocal about doping in rugby football and had the piece with the former French hooker published in the Sindo. Oā€™Rourke asked McGurk in passing about the increasing rumours of drugs in the pastime and specifically mentioned PKā€™s investigations/concerns. If I recall correctly, McGurk was quite dismissive of the issue and PK took to twitter in response to it. He mentioned McGurkā€™s support for the swimmer among other things alright.

Paul destroyed him in an Indo piece soon after. Hadnā€™t heard anything else. And canā€™t think on what grounds McGurk would be able to sue him on.

PKā€™s ā€˜investigationsā€™
Heā€™s uncovered absolutely nothing beyond an ex French rugby player criticising the use of cortisone ffs. All PK has done on the issue is scream that people involved in rugby saying the idea of systemic doping is laughable and criticising the use of dietary supplements even more laughable, is evidence of omerta.
That said McGurk is a buffoon who has never done anything remotely interesting whilst PK writes great articles when he isnā€™t on crusades. Best of luck PK.

Do you expect him to single-handedly reveal the cover-up of doping in international rugby? He has raised very reasonable issues - it is ludicrous to think that rugby wouldnā€™t have a doping problem.

Kimmage was an average cyclist who doped himself and still won fuck all of note. He then got bitter with the sport, changed his working class accent and turned into a rat. Cycling was always full of cheats even before doping, didnā€™t some lads who won it back over 100 years ago get on a train for a stage or two

Whats that got to do with Decent Journalism?

Kimmage was being discussed in the previous posts and I went off on a rant, the cunt creeps me out. I also donā€™t believe he is a ā€œdecentā€ journalist.
