All Limerick pigs are unique.
And Limerick chippers lead the country
I thought I read that if you couldn’t attend the open day in person then you wouldn’t get a bottle. You’ve done well there if that’s the case. What do you think the chances are @fagan_odowd of procuring one at the open day if you buy general admission ticket only? I’d nearly tear over if I thought they’d set up a stand on the day and sell a few more Pilgrimage bottles besides the 1000 promised.
I believe this was originally the case but COVID-19 changed it, especially with the distance restrictions.
I only bought the ticket on a tip from a mate who’d be more into collecting whiskey (I tend to focus more on drinking the stuff) and bought it months ago
Do you know how many bottles of Pilgrimage in total has been made? I know it’s 1000 on open day (one per person) but they won’t go on general sale I’d say. I saw something whereby they want to keep the stuff out of collectors grasps as much as possible, so this is probably an attempt at this. They will surely start selling a few more bottles in future somewhere. If it’s only 1000 give or take ye have a serious collectors item there you and @Batigol the jammy fucker.
Fellas queueing up to pay big money for a bottle of whiskey they won’t even drink. Is the boom back?
I wonder if we could interest them in some magic beans?
I’ll probably open it some night when I’m locked and mix it with Blue WKD
This interview only dropped this morning from the owner of Waterford Distillery. Very interesting stuff. Is @Malarkey still posting here?
He says fuck all about where you can buy any of the bottles, that part seems a mystery besides the 1000 bottles of Pilgrimage on open day. But what about the other bottles that are currently out? All he says is their bottles sold out worldwide within 3hrs of going on sale. I presume you’d have to contact a whiskey shop to order for you? Real dearth of information on this side of things.
The hype machine in full flow.
He’d be a handy lad to flog a timeshare
Flogging grain from Laois to lads in a flashy bottle.
I’m tempted to sell mine straight away. Lads are going mental for it.
How much would it go for?
My mate reckoned close to €500. Seems a bit high but I reckon I’d double my money.
Think I’ll keep it for a few years though. The hype will die down but over time it’ll become rarer
And the grain from multiple farms. Sure you’d be as well to drink pure pesticides
A bottle of pesticide and neurotoxins and lads falling over themselves to throw their money at it.
Few lads seething away here that they didn’t get on board the Waterford whiskey train on time.
