Does whiskey go off after its been open for a bit?

The next level up like Green Spot and Redbreast have a small few quid off them also which is unusual.

It was the redbreast with 10 off that first caught my eye.

I will treat myself

You would be foolish not to.

Most of these new distilleries popping up have gotten some sort of external funding/backers which are probably looking for shorter term returns than suits the market, so they were possibly under pressure to start generating turnover. It’s catch 22. Hard to get someone to invest and tell them you aren’t going to have any revenue for 8 years.

2 oddities on this. Kudos to the one who spots them first

Crested more expensive than the Black Barrel.

Black Bush the same price as Bushmills Original.

Price of ‘Paddy’s’ on a par with a few others that would be slightly more expensive generally.

Is that three out of two?

The Black Barrel vs Crested was the first that caught my eye. There’s a more glaring one you’ve missed

The price of Drumshanbo I imagine ?

You’re in Killarney are you

Drumshanbo, I’ve never tried either of them.

Yes that’s off the charts but there’s another staring you in the face

Edit - and not Killarney no.

Green Spot looks value compared!!

BINGO!

Surely that’s the underlying point of an eiis where the only guarantee is the tax relief

That’s true I suppose. Is that what Waterford were backed?

Just finished my last drop of Red Spot, I minded it all year. Nice drop but not sure it’s worth the money.
