Dolores O'Riordan, Nembo getting increasingly demented, fascinating to watch

Didn’t know he could paint.

He’s a savage for the cutting in

A man of many skills, song-writing not one of them though.

A wordsmith of little equal in fact

I never cared much for the Cranberries stuff but they were a huge band at their time.

I also read about Dolores and all the shit she had in her life and I really respected her for speaking out about her struggle. Seemed like a very decent sort.

Then you have people like Bressie - piggy backing mental health for fame as he couldnt make it as a singer/rugby player.

The passing of Dolores will surely get him a book deal and a world tour - talking about the hours they spent back stage on the voice bonding through their shared suffering…

I forgot about ‘Ode to my family’

Does anyone care?

Has anyone looked into Ireland’s fascination with band-wagonning. I can understand a win in sport but this pretend sorrow that people try to hitch on to is a strange phenomenon. Doesn’t even have to be a celebrity. You see it at all funerals, the more tragic the death the more band-wagonners jockey for position. Savage Eye portrayed it brilliantly as they showed people fighting and screaming to be able to carry/touch the coffin.

She spoke in a interview about having to face the man who raped her as a kid at her Dad’s funeral. She had never told anyone about it. He causally walked up to her, shook her hand and said sorry (about her Dad’s passing).

That cunt has blood on his hands. Hopefully he dies screaming.

Limerick is in mourning

Youre a bit OTT there, mate… I get what you’re saying but musicians can evoke memories of time and place – As I said earlier, our generation were all teens when they broke and like them or loathe them they represent a largely happy and exciting time in our lives – bound to stir something. I wasn’t bothered when I heard the news yesterday but when I heard a few snippets of their songs an instant regret/ sorrow hit. I think it’s very natural tbh and while some people go ott with it, you have to stop being so anti Irish in your outlook. Let a little love in.

I didnt know that at all… wtf?

I always thought Smashing Pumpkins’s Tonight Tonight bore a similarlity to Dreams by the Cranberries in terms of the verse melody.

Not enough for a Music Rip Off but a similarity nonetheless.

Tonight Tonight is a truly smashing tune

Sidney has taken it very badly. No one was interested in his American ramblings for a few hours and it’s really hurt him.

Billy corgan strikes me as an odious weirdo cunt

Fucksake …

Awful.

Makes the pain in her voice all the more understandable now.

Daycent video too
