apart from anything, he doesnt actually compare that Cork team to Clare directly, all he says is that of the 2 teams in the final, Clare are more like them than Cork are, which is pretty obvious as this Cork side are nothing like the 99 side. In a shock move, I tend to agree with Kev here, this Clare side is much younger and inexperienced in comparison to that 99 Cork team, regardless of what Donal Og may or may not think.

Without getting into the detail of the argument here, I think @caoimhaoin is perfectly entitled to argue against Donal Og, even if the latter has had an illustrious inter county career.
