This chap had it as 4-18 to 2-12 to Clontarf at the end.

They had a bit of rope around the pitch & there must only have been around 200 people at it.

I think Paddy Smyth was playing full forward for Clontarf unless I’m mistaken.

From what I’ve seen of Clontarf GAA club at U8 go games & Senior B/2 hurling, I don’t really like them.

Raheny had 16 players

Decimated by injuries and J1s

Clontarf should have won by more : 21 widest

Not a contest unfortunately. Any time Raheny broke through (rarely) Clontarf did not hesitate to do the needful with the cynical pulldown

Double marking Paddy Smyth proved to be a mistake by Raheny

:grinning:. They are a southside club landlocked on the northside. Paddy is an alright sort though and I’d say a handful at full forward. Good to see you developing into a proper Raheny man.

Raheny will come good in time. Missing a lot tonight and will give this championship a rattle yet

What’s the format? Are they still in it?!

They seem like awful sneery wankers. It’s impressive but their GAA, cricket & rubby clubs seem to co-exist & almost thrive together…& what a toxic combination those three elements can be.

Understandable. Clontarf refused to let parents use their toilets at our girls feile tournament in April insisting they walk to the Red Stables instead, leaving a fair few grandparents literally discommoded and upset. It also resulted in one of our parents acting quite unreasonably and starting a bizarre row. Anyway, our girls went out there and walked all over them…

That would never happen in Na Fianna

Merging Scoil and Clontarf to create a North Bay superclub was a regular on the agenda in the 80s. There were obvious cultural issues then (which don’t exist now) but the principal reason talks never advanced was because the two club grandees - Tom (Mossie) Carroll on our side and I can’t remember the Clontarf fellas name - absolutely detested each other.
Anyway as luck would have it they both ended up in hospital beside each other and they never so much as spoke a word to each other the whole time they were there.

Group of six, top four qualify for the QFs. They have 1 win and two losses with the two weakest teams left to play in Syls and Crokes B.

Raheny have some lovely hurlers but are young/light. Lack leaders around the 27/29 age group

Will the Dublin Hurling County Final be a Saturday night or Sunday fixture this year?

That was some balls they made of the Semi Final Draw on Sunday too - the perils of live streaming a draw I suppose.

What happened with the draw?

Exact day for final not decided yet

Ballyboden came out as one of the teams for the Senior B when they weren’t even left in the competition.
