I thought last year they were going to win Dublin again and maybe the All-Ireland - they had cruised through Dublin until the final.
But their performance against Vincent’s was so devoid of any imagination it was pitiful - they never looked like winning and didn’t seem that bothered.
And Vincent’s went out to Rathnew a couple of weeks later, which made it worse in hindsight.

Given the huge underage success enjoyed by Na Fianna, they should also be in the under achievement bracket.
Brendan Hackett was in charge this year. I think he is a kildare man. Paddy may have been a selector. I get the impression they mightn’t be the easiest bunch to manage.

He managed Kildare minors alright but not from the county. Managed a lot of the crop who won the U20 AI this year to Leinster Minor titles.

Na Fianna might be ok with a bit of time. They were physically overpowered by boden tonight but when they had the ball they played some nice football. Boden are a seriously physically imposing team and i think they’ll win it out.
Delighted to see Judes win. Consistently knocking around the latter stages of the championship for the last 10 years. Capable of beating any of the big teams on their day but failing to do it back to back. Would love to see them win it out

Knackers stealing from their own is disappointing behaviour
Boden beat Crokes in another tight physical battle yesterday. Keaney and Paul Ryan rolling back the years. Bit of controversey too. Just before half time Mark Howard from Crokes ran 50 yards through the middle of the Boden defence. Gary Maguire came out and did this. Howard stretchered off, ACL rumoured to be gone, ref gave a penalty but no card. Crokes miss the penalty. Boden win by 3.

Unconfirmed ACL. He looked in serious bother going off though. In fairness to the referee the Boden defender in picture may have blocked his view. The umpires have no excuse though.
